The extended deadline for this year's Big Chip Awards is 24.03.14, less than a week away. If you haven't already entered, or you're considering entering, our latest blog from consumer and mobile app developers, Apadmi, may help you to decide. Last year, Apadmi won Best Mobile Project and Best Application Technology at the Big Chip Awards. Hannah Pym, Marketing Manager at Apadmi shares with us what winning a Big Chip Award meant to them:  1. Can you tell us any ways that winning a Big Chip has helped your business - for example by raising your profile, making you stand out or leading directly to new business?Apadmi were delighted to win 2 Big Chip awards last year for our work developing the BBC iPlayer Radio app. As a well-regarded and prestigious awards ceremony, the 2 wins helped us to significantly raise our profile in the North West, helping us to enhance our brand as the mobile experts. We enjoyed some really great PR following on from the ceremony last year.  2. What advice would you give to any digital companies who are thinking of entering the Big Chip Awards 2014?If you are thinking of entering a particular project, focus on one that offers something different and stands out from the crowd. The more innovative the project, the better. It’s also worth spending the time to formulate a really strong entry, gathering all the evidence you can of the project’s commercial success. If this can’t be demonstrated through figures, reflect on how the project has been recognised in the industry and what other tangible contributions it has made. 3. The Big Chip Awards ceremony is legendary. Do you have any good stories from previous events that you want to share? Our team had a fantastic night last year at the ceremony. It’s a great chance to network and socialise with plenty of familiar faces from the North West digital scene. As well as winning two awards last year, our Partner Manager, Sabine Douglas, caused quite a stir with her amazingly glitzy shoes, which found fame on Twitter throughout the evening.
