Motion design company, Mighty Giant, won the Best Established Freelance/Micro-Enterprise Big Chip Award in 2014 for the range of different styles the business showed across their showreel. The judges said the ‘freshness’ demonstrated in their approach to projects such as those with Blue Peter, Conservative Home, and the Wright Way, won it for them. Since then, the business has started developing projects in new fields online and is now working on events, all whilst building a more varied client base in the process.

Warrington-based eCommerce and digital marketing agency, Space48, won the Big Chip Award for Best e-Business project last year as a result of its work with luxury makeup brand Charlotte Tilbury. Since then the business has recruited 10 additional staff members and turnover has increased 60 per cent this year. The business has won a number of new clients since winning the Big Chip Award, most notably the online retailer Simon Jersey.
