• The 2018 Big Chip awards will be the 20th.

    21 Mar 2018

A lot can happen in 20 years. It’s really quite sobering to think how things were back then when Annie Millar first organised an ‘Internet Gala Dinner’ in 1997 (if you’re wondering what happened to the missing year, we slipped when the event moved from November to spring in 2004).

  • Flow Creative discuss how they made the leap into entering The Big Chip Awards

    19 Mar 2018

The North, and Manchester in particular, is really booming at the moment with digital and tech companies doing amazing work. It’s one of the biggest growth sectors in the country and contributes a huge amount to the UK economy. It’s a really exciting time for the region and to be working this field I’ve been aware of the Big Chip Awards for years, but had never thought of entering anything.

    04 Jun 2017

    By Lisa-Marie Smith, Director, ForrestBrown

We love the digital scene in Manchester and the other Northern cities. There are so many fantastic businesses developing innovative technologies. Quite a few of whom ForrestBrown work with directly, securing them valuable funding.

I travel up here regularly and see that organisations like Manchester Digital are doing great work in creating a culture of support and collaboration. And I’m sure this will grow ever stronger over time as more hubs, resources, events and incubators are developed.
