Another great night at Big Chip 2015.
The winners of the 2015 Big Chip Awards were announced at the awards ceremony Thursday 2 July 2015.
Big winners in 2015 were Engage Interactive with three awards including the Grand Prix, and iProspect Manchester with two awards including the Big Chip Digital Agency Award. The Anthony WIlson Original Modern Award was awarded by special guest judge Malcolm Garrett to Rhythm and ThirtyThree for their 'not the usual' game for Deutsche Bank.
For the third year running, comedian Andrew Ryan hosted the awards ceremony. Andrew invited people on stage to create a Big Chip boy band.
Mighty Giant created a video poking fun at Andrew and at the sector.
Other winners were Ampersand for Best B2C E-business Project with Harvey Nichols: A success story of online luxury; Climb Creative for Best B2B E-business Project with Where The Trade Buys; Stardotstar for Best Public Sector Project with First Steps; Connect Internet Solutions Ltd for Best Not for Profit Project with SENDirect; Access for Best User Experience with BAFTA Website; Glow New Media for Best Application of Mobile with Merseyrail Official Passenger App; Music for Best Use of Visual Design with Music website; wejo for Most Innovative Application of Technology with Rewarding Driving; Kilogramme for Best Use of Animation with Tall Tales pt2. Lamplight Studios for Best Game with A Pixel Story;
In the student and apprentice categories the Little Chip Student Award was won by Chris Chippindale, Richard Evans and Katrina McLaughlin for Manchester Metropolitian University and the Little Chip Placement/Apprentice Award was won by Marta Rodriguez Casares for UK Tights and Salford Business School.
We Are Empire was commended for Best Use of Visual Design with Anthony Joshua; Relative Insight was commended for Most Innovative Application of Technology with A transition from Crime Detection into the Marketing world; and iProspect Manchester was commended for Best Digital Marketing Campaign with GO Outdoors Tent Domination.
