Big Wins at the 14th Annual Big Chip Awards

Jason CookTBWA Manchester, Tyneside Cinema and Code Computerlove were the big winners at the 2012 Big Chip Awards in Manchester.

The 2012 Big Chips on 5 July saw a full house at the Palace Hotel in Manchester for an evening hosted by comedian Jason Cook.

TBWA walked away with the Grand Prix, Best Digital Marketing Campaign and Best On-line Brand Development for their social media campaign "Join the Revolution" for The Co-operative.

Tyneside Cinema were awarded the Anthony Wilson Original Modern award, chosen by guest judge David Sproxton, along with Best Application of Technology and Best Not-for-profit Project.

Code Computerlove added to their historical haul of Big Chips with Best Digital Agency, Big Chip International Award for Innovation and Best E-business Project.

A surprise winner was the Greater Manchester Police who won the Best Use of Social Media award for their work during last year's riots.

Former winners Cahoona took the Best Use of Visual Design and the coveted Tasty Website Award, chosen by popular vote on Twitter.

Newcastle comedian Jason Cook entertained and challenged guests with edgy and digital-savvy banter. In Big Chip tradition the after-show party continued past 4am.
