This ambitious app promises to revolutionise fire surveying and prevention in the UK.

It takes advantage of existing mobile technologies and functionality to create a truly innovative product that has seen strong growth in the last year and impressive ROI.

Entrant's description

Bolster Systems is a pioneering business, using a forward-thinking application to set a new industry standard, revolutionising fire surveying and prevention in the UK. They approached Silverchip to manage all technical aspects of their business, which is based around a technically-complicated application. The application was born out of their desire to take the headache out of what was a very timely and resource-heavy process. Bolster Systems has taken the industry by storm winning clients such as the NHS, who now specify their need for buildings to be Bolster approved in their tenders.

This is a brilliant app for motorbike riders - a great example of mobile being used both to innovative and problem-solve.

Entrant's description

REALRIDER® is an application for motorcycle enthusiasts that works as an online community for journey sharing whilst also promoting safety.

The idea was pioneered following information from Great North Air Ambulance that indicated a problem between motorcycle crashes and rescue. Accidents often occur on rural roads where a rider is solo at the point of crash, and finding them within the ‘golden hour’ is imperative to boost survival chances.

This app bridges the gap between crash and recovery, alerting emergency services if a rider is in trouble, and in turn offers riders peace of mind when out on the road.
